4th of July Madness

So yesterday, K and I decided to go to the WaMu Family Fourth at Gasworks park in the Fremont district of Seattle. I have never been there, but had heard that it was SUPER crowded and really hard to find a parking place. I have a friend that lives in the area, so we headed over there about 2:00 or so to find a place to park and sit and to check out Fremont. We ended up parking quite far away, but not because of a lack of space...more because I was unsure of how to get back to the freeway in the dark. So we walked over to Fremont and wandered around for a while, then decided to just camp out and wait until dark, so we got some books and found a nice place outside the park along Lake Union. We then waited and waited, and ended up finally seeing the fireworks at about 10:15 or so. K took all the fireworks pictures, they required a steady hand and a water bottle tripod.

The Fremont troll....the guy in the skirt was just an added bonus

We sat on a hill under this bridge to watch the fireworks

Our view from where we were sitting
