2. Last week in my once-a-week cooking endeavor, I made a recipe from an awesome magazine called Clean Eating. If you haven't had a chance to check out this magazine, you should totally do so! It is full of recipes about eating healthier, but is so NOT a diet magazine. I made whole wheat penne with asparagus and it was yummy!!
3. No fast food since the beginning of the year, although this week when my throat was hurting, I did get a small vanilla milkshake from McDonalds (the one and only item I like from there) and I was craving meat today, so I got a 6" sub from Subway - but no drink or chips.
4. I haven't used my debit card since the first of the year. Using only cash was not one of my intentions, but it has worked out really well and I may continue with it. I have the same problem that my kids have when I use plastic, I can't seem to maintain an accurate total in my head and money doesn't mean as much when I use my debit card. I think more carefully about what I buy when I use cash, although I still have trouble at the fabric store. =)

Hmmm... I've noticed that about myself too. I've been paying for things in cash lately (something I haven't done in about 12 years) and I notice that I think a lot more about what I'm buying when I do that. I also hesitate more when I actually see the dollar bills leaving my wallet.
Hi from SITS! I'm going to check out that magazine. It sounds cool!
That recipe looks great. I LOVE aspragus. And I was thinking the same thing about the debit card issue. I am going to try to use cash more in hopes to save money. Congrats on the weight loss!!
good job!!
I want that recipe, I can't find it...
That is awesome! Good for you! I think your meal sounds great!! I'm definitely going to check out that website!
Way. To. Go! We've been trying to eat better. Mr. Fairway hasn't had ice cream for a month! But he broke down tonite after dinner, and went out and bought a container. Oh, well. I'm still resisting, though!
Hey...have not commented in a while. Sorry! You are doing awesome on your goals so far!! Keep up the good work. I recently started only using paper money. I throw all the change in a jar and hopefully it will pay for Christmas present at the end of the year. We shall see...
Good job on not eating fast food! I need to do that. It's so addicting, but then when I think about it, the things I make at home are just as good, just take some getting used to the extra work.
