Tauntings

I have been checking online, and according to various websites, I should be getting my tax rebate check this week. So today, I walked the 2/3 of a mile to my mailbox (that's another story entirely) to check the mail and discovered an envelope emblazoned with the words "Stimulus Payment" on the back and "Internal Revenue Service" on the return address. I excitedly opened it up, with bated breath, waiting to see the check I desperately need to pay for my eye appointment this coming Monday, and what do I pull out but a stinkin' letter, announcing that I will get a stimulus payment (duh) sometime in the next 6 weeks (probably). ARGH!!!!!!
